I am grateful every day to be the wife of a brilliant, funny man, and the mother of six amazing, children. I have a degree in elementary education, biology, and chemistry with a secondary teaching certificate.

I have taught professionally for thirty-two years. The last twenty-five years I have directed and taught a private Core Knowledge preschool with excellent outcomes. I started reading educational research when my first child showed signs of delayed development. I was surprised to find my education degrees didn’t teach much of high preforming education strategies. I helped open a charter school focused on high performing strategies, there I experienced all aspects of running a quality school. I sat on that charter school board for four and a half years.

As a board member I learned, struggled, spoke for students, researched, and sought to be more effective, that experience was difficult but invaluable. I am currently a member of Community Council and PTSA President at Bountiful High School. I love quality education. I cannot say enough good about the fine families and educators in this community. It would be an honor to thoughtfully collaborate with parents and educators on evidence-based ways to improve schools in this community. Let’s create High Performing Schools
